Location Of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Kota Kinabalu, the gateway to Sabah, a land known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage is just a footstep away from all wonders and excitement. Sandy white beaches at Tanjung Aru, beautiful gardens at Prince Philip Park and Taman Tun Fuad are situated within Kota Kinabalu. The five islands (Pulau Mamutik, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Sulug, Pulau Sapi and Pulau Gaya), a wildlife sanctuary for the preservation of coral reef and tropical fish is a few minutes boat ride from Kota Kinabalu. For those who prefer the river, then the Kionsom Waterfall will be a good alternative. Even the ever famous Mount Kinabalu is just a couple of hours drive from the State Capital.

Sabah occupies the top portion of the island of Borneo and covers an area of 74,500 sq. km with a coastline of about 1,440km. It situated at East part of Malaysia. Sabah's climate is tropical but pleasant with sunny blue skies all year round.

Sabah is just a short flight away and is accessible from major cities in Asia. The international airport at Capital city is serviced by more than 55 weekly flights, including Malaysian Airlines, AirAsia, Royal Brunei, Australian Airlines, Dragonair, Far Eastern Airlines, Transasia and Uniair.

Malaysia Airline and Air Asia has daily flights to Kota Kinabalu from various location. The following table is a guide on the estimated traveling time from the respective location. Getting To Kinabalu Rose Cabin

The road to Kinabalu Rose Cabin is the same as the road to Kundasang and to Ranau called Ranau-Tamparuli. It is a well known road among locals. The hotel is situated right beside the main road.

From Kota Kinabalu International Airport:
Taxis will cost in the region of MYR 70 to MYR 150 and will take around 120 minutes. It is recommended that you take the taxi with yellow rooftop, they are cheaper for traveling long distance.

From Kota Kinabalu city :-
Long distance taxi (yellow rooftop) takes approx 90 minutes. It costs MYR 15 per person but have to wait for it to fill up. Otherwise, charter the whole taxi for MYR 60 per trip.

By express bus :
Express bus from Kota Kinabalu city to Kundasang will cost MYR 10 each way (tell the driver to drop you off in front of our hotel, we're just by the main road).

We can also arrange for transportation to pick you up and deliver you straight to the hotel.
